OUR BJJ ACADEMY

Our team is different. Our values are at the heart of what we do. BJJ is our tool for developing the collective and personal attributes that help to make us better people. A by-product of that primary goal is to produce athletes capable of competing at the highest level of our sport. We're not here for individual gain, but collective development and winning not just on the mats but in everything we do. Lifelong friendships, an inclusive community and personal growth is what we provide.

Rob began BJJ training in London in 2010 with pro MMA fighter and
IBJJF European champion Luiz Tosta, having trained judo for several years as a child and dabbling in striking arts such as Shotokan Karate and Muay Thai. Rob moved to Thailand in 2013, where he worked as a
computer science professor at Mahidol University, and soon after
started training with Lee Livingstone, a UK MMA veteran and 3rd degree BJJ black belt under Romero “Jacare” Cavalcanti. Rob received his
black belt from Lee in 2022. He was a successful competitor at the local level coming up through the ranks, both in judo and BJJ, and is an avid student of modern submission grappling.

Andy is a Brown Belt in BJJ with a wealth of experience in competitive martial arts and MMA.  Still a competitor in UK MMA promotions, Andy brings wrestling techniques to the fore and combines them with his very effective Jiu Jitsu style to deliver technical, exciting and demanding sessions - both in Gi and NoGi.

Simon started BJJ at the age of 47. A purple belt at 52, he is a committed team member who shows that starting BJJ later in life can be hugely rewarding and beneficial. He supports his team mates in any way possible and is passionate about building a competitive juniors team.  He also takes care of the team administration and memberships.
